Christian Education 
Leader: Brenda Perkins

The Christian Education Department is responsible for developing standards, preparing programs, offering classes teaching Christian education, publishing materials and training people for pastoral ministry and other church vocations in accordance with tradition and doctrine of the AME church.


Friday Night Prayer Ministry
Leader: Mary Lane
Meeting Time: Fridays at 7pm

The Prayer Ministry aims to help spread and sustain a community-wide prayer movement by ministering God’s Word in ways that inspire and ignite our church body and community. This ministry is for anyone seeking prayer, love to pray, or to receive regular insight and scripture that informs their praying.


Hospitality Ministry
Leaders: Belle Behling and Mary Lane
Meeting Time: 3rd Sundays after Service

The Hospitality Ministry welcomes newcomers and visitors to our church with a bright smile and words of delight for being present with us in our church service. “Glorifying God for their presence” is our intended hope.


The Irene S. Hugine Missionary Society
Leader: Loretta Kirkland

The Irene s. Hugine Missionary Society is named after the late Irene S. Hugine who served as local Women Missionary Society (WMS) president, Beaufort District area chairperson and treasure of the SC Conference Branch of the WMS. The mission of the WMS to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ through assistance to the elderly, visiting the sick and shut-in, and developing programs and activities that will interest younger women in the work of missions.


Irene S. Hugine Memorial Education Fund
Committee Members: Patricia G. Fields, Cleveland Frasier, Sylvia Aiken, Mary Cox, Andrew Hugine, Jr., Belle Behling, Micheal Lane, Lakiesha Mc Millon

The Irene S. Hugine Memorial Education Fund annually provides scholarships to deserving young people from the lower section of Colleton County as well as members of White Hall AME Church. Each year, assistance is also provided to each member of the church who is enrolled in a post secondary school.


Praise Team
Leader: Mary Lane
Meeting Time: Sundays at 10:45am

The White Hall AME Church Praise Team provides spiritual leadership for the congregation through the gift of music and prayer. Our goal is to usher in the presence of the Holy Spirit before the church service begins.


Usher Ministry
Leader: Mary Lane
Meeting Time:

The members of the Usher Ministry service the needs of members and visitors by escorting attendees to their seats, distributing the materials necessary to make worship service comfortable and convenient. We maintain order and reverence during services humbly and with a smile.


 White Hall A.M E. Church After School Program

Staff: Brenda Perkins, Belle Behling, Daisy Mitchell, and Willa Fields

Meeting Times: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:00 PM (Please note that the afterschool program meets at the St. Mary Campus.)

The mission of our Afterschool Program is to ensure, increase, enhance, and sustain our students’ knowledge and understanding in grades Pre-K through grade 12 in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Our program is based on the concepts and standards as outlined by the state of South Carolina curriculum for public schools in grades Pre-K through grade 12.
